Hillcrest

The city of Hillcrest dates back to the time of the Native Americans.  The Kumeyaay Native Americans inhabited several small villages in the area.  These people were approached by Spanish missionaries in the 18th century, and helped the missionaries set up missions.

Hillcrest would remain a small town until the 1920s, when it grew into a shopping area for suburban San Diego.  People would continue to settle in the area with the population topping out at over 16,000, where it stands today.

While this city isn’t particularly large, it contains one of the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender populations in San Diego County.  The first gay pride parade in this city was held in 1974.  The city would not provide a permit for this parade, so 200 residents simply held a march in protest.  As a Hillcrest personal injury attorney, I support all people who stand up for their rights and love to see people fight back against being bullied.

Because of this history, San Diego’s annual San Diego Pride Parade is held in Hillcrest each year.  This gay pride festival attracts approximately 200,000 people.  The beginning of the gay pride parade starts on Harvey Milk Street, renamed in 2012 to honor activist Harvey Milk.

Legal Consultation from a Hillcrest Personal Injury Lawyer

In spite of this city’s open mind and inclusiveness, accidents can still happen here due to negligence.  Car accidents, slip-and-falls, motorcycle accidents, and other careless accidents can happen anywhere.  If you have been injured due to one, contact a Hillcrest personal injury attorney today.  They can give you information on questions to ask your doctor, information on what to expect from the claims process, and how best to preserve your claim.

A Hillcrest personal injury attorney can make this stressful process easier, allowing you the opportunity to focus on your recovery.  The attorney can also help deal with the insurance adjuster, who will likely try to bully you into accepting a low-ball offer.  Consultations are always free and there is no fee unless you collect.  Contact a Hillcrest personal injury attorney today.
