Lakeside

Lakeside is a community in San Diego County of approximately 20,000 people.  It was founded in 1886 and began to grow quickly in 1889 when a hotel was built and Lakeside was connected to the railroad.  After this, businesses began to open in Lakeside and the town became an important stop on the line.  In 1904, John Gay built a horse and auto racing track, where, in 1907, Barney Oldfield set the land speed record.

This town has always had a reputation as a “cowboy town,” and this reputation continues to this day.  The Lakeside Rodeo grounds hold rodeos and other horse events throughout the year, including an event at the end of April that draws over 20,000 people a year.  These events can be dangerous, however, and a Lakeside personal injury attorney, you should be very careful when participating in these types of events and always wear the proper safety equipment.

In keeping with these sporting activities, Lakeside is known for its fishing and wildlife.  It is home to three large reservoirs which are kept stocked with several types of fish, including largemouth bass and catfish.  People also use these reservoirs for activities on the water, including using jet skis and boating.  These reservoirs are popular areas for people from all around California.  As a Lakeside personal injury attorney, however, the risk of these activities is very real, as well, so always exercise caution when engaging in activities on the water.

Lakeside also has many parks available for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.  River Park is the largest of these parks and is known throughout the area for its numerous trails.  The trailhead for El Cajon Mountain is also located in Lakeside.

If outdoor activities are not for you, there is also a large Native American casino nearby, Barona Casino, operated by the Barona Native American tribe.  This casino also features a large resort and many restaurants and other amenities.

This suburb contains plenty of things to do for everyone, but with these activities comes risks.  If people are not following proper procedures and rules, someone is going to get hurt.  If that happens, contact a Lakeside personal injury attorney right away.  With a good attorney in your corner, you will know your rights are always being preserved while you work on the important task of getting healthy and getting back on your feet.  For a free consultation, call our offices right away.
