Lakeside
Lakeside is a community in San Diego County of approximately 20,000 people. It was founded in 1886 and began to grow quickly in 1889 when a hotel was built and Lakeside was connected to the railroad. In 1904, John Gay built a horse and auto racing track, where, in 1907, Barney Oldfield set the land speed record.
