Rancho Bernardo

In the northernmost part of San Diego County lies Rancho Bernardo, a very affluent planned community.  Incorporated in 1962, the San Diego City Council wanted to create a community that perfectly combined park space, office space, retail stores, and residential areas.  The plan for the city has undergone several changes, the last in 1988.

This suburb encompasses about 7,000 acres and is home to approximately 45,000 residents.  This suburb is also home to the headquarters of several major companies, including Sony, Hewlett-Packard, and Northrop Grumman.   Several other companies have their headquarters amongst these in one of the largest office parks in all of California.

For fun, residents of Rancho Bernardo have several options to choose from.  The area has several upper-scale golf courses where residents and tourists can get in a good round.  Oaks North Golf Course is a very popular course with executives of those multinational corporations.  The Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Course is also very nice for a resort course, and is very popular with tourists visiting the area.  As a Rancho Bernardo personal injury attorney, I have played many courses in San Diego and count these amongst the finest.

The oldest winery in Southern California is also located in Rancho Bernardo.  Bernardo Winery has been in operation since 1889.  This is a popular place for weddings, for brunch, or for staying overnight on a mini vacation away from the hassles of everyday life.

This city is not without its downsides, however.  Because it is in a valley and because it is in a fairly rural part of San Diego County, it can be susceptible to wild fires.  In 2007, the Witch Creek Fire destroyed hundreds of homes in Rancho Bernardo and even wiped out entire neighborhoods.  The homes that were hardest hit were the homes in areas that were very difficult to reach for the firefighters because of the difficult terrain and strong winds.

These fires show that even in the most beautiful places in the world, tragedy can strike unexpectedly.   When an unexpected injury occurs, a Rancho Bernardo personal injury attorney may be able to help put the pieces back together.  In building a case, this attorney will make sure you are fairly compensated for your loss, helping to ease the burden of lost work, pain and suffering, and medical bills that can pile up quickly.  If you have been injured by the negligence of another, call a Rancho Bernardo personal injury attorney today for a free consultation.
